How to add and manage investors

Adding investors

Go to the Investors tab and click Add Investor. Enter:

• Name — investor or entity name
• Entity type — LLC, LP, individual, trust, etc.
• Ownership % — equity ownership percentage
• Sponsor — check this box if this investor is the sponsor/GP
• Entry date — date equity was contributed (used for IRR calculation)
• Equity contributed — dollar amount invested

Ownership percentages across all investors must total 100%.

Equity contributions

You can enter equity contributions in two ways:

• Total + allocate by % — enter total project equity and WaterfallIQ allocates to each investor by ownership percentage
• Manual entry — enter each investor’s contribution directly

Editing investors

Click any investor row to edit. Changes take effect immediately on all scenarios.
